I had tickets to see the Devon Allman Band tonight and the show was canceled.
Instead of watching most of the Yankee game; I saw a Band cover band called the The The Band Band at the Boulton center.
They are the Dark Star Orchestra of music from The Band. They are very professional and have the sound of The Band down pat.
Tonight, they mixed up it a bit (lol) and played the Last Waltz Concert, with horns and guests, playing all the LW guest roles.
I was actually very impressed.
50% of the folks there, were drunk Long Islanders that thought this was really The Band, 25% friends, family, and fans of The Band Band, and 25% just wanted to see what all the commotion was all about, as the concert sold out. I was in the last 25%
It was like the Last Waltz (song for song), minus the Turkey Dinner, the threat of Bob Dylan performing, or Warren or Joan's version of the same show, 40 years later.
The Band Band plays though out the northeast. Check them out, they are a very good cover band.

^ That link, identical to yours above, worked for me. (Edit) never mind, now the original also works. The THE Link LINK works.
I see they will be in Jerseyland next month. Thanks for the heads-up !!
Venue is a tiny little place in Tuckerton, down in the Pine Barrens. Bit over an hour drive, but scenic when it's light out.
Jersey Devil country by night. No shit.

I would have had better seats, if I was planning on attending.

I saw this cover band 1x at the Falcon in Marlboro, NY within the last 12 months. Having seen the original members of The Band in and around the Hudson Valley many times. Seeing Rick & Richard, The Band with Blondie Chapman or Paul Butterfield, seeing them in various iterations in small clubs in Woodstock & Poughkeepsie, in bars in Saugerties, in theaters in Manhattan and at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, I would say, and this is me personally, I cannot get excited about this band. I miss Rick, Richard & Levon..... Too Soon Gone...

The Band Memories -
The Band Memories - A re-story
On a hot-summer-night -
I once spent an enchanted evening one on one with The Band (Levon, Richard, Garth. and Rick), after a show at a skating Rink in East Islip. The Suffolk Police wouldn't let The Band and my friend and I leave/drive after the show. We were all way too high.
We had beers & weed & The Band had a Winnebago. I asked The Band about their Woodstock experience (it was '85, no internet, I was just 23). The Big Pink and The Last Waltz etc.
Levon told me himself that Robbie Robertson was working on a solo album at that time....
I stumbled into Richard and hugged him, he then made it over to a bench where Rick was with our cooler. Garth & Levon spent the rest night into sunrise asking us about the Grateful Dead shows we had seen and our impressions.
The sun did rise again, the cops left & my last sight of those guys was The Band waiving bye to my friend & I out the window of their Winnebago as they were trying to enter the north service road of Sunrise Highway (no shit, that's name of the highway) westerly home towards NYC.
That was a bad ass Band my friends. The Band.
Richard passed away just 6 months later.
RIP - Rick, Levon & Richard
PS- Garth played Chest Fever on that storried night
