Anyone Still Watch Survivor?

Forums:

As a creature of habit I always have it on, but haven't really watched it for at least the last 10 seasons. It's just background noise that I have on simply because of habit.

This season, though, has been pretty badass. Just when I thought it had faded into total boredom, it comes back with all sorts of twists and turns.

Wait so you have Survivor playing on your TV 24/7 but haven't watched it in ten years?

You need Duke to talk survivor.

My wife is still a die hard fan so I watch regularly although I have not seen last nights performance.   I did read about the big outing but will probably watch later this week when she comes back in town.

That's right, Bucky, 24/7!

I've stopped watching it, but happened to catch the last part of tribal council last night. What the hell was that guy all bent out of shape over?? What did he do to the other dude (who I believe might be trans)??

Not the least bit interested in this topic; but wanted to point out that there are some good Zoners in this thread.

I have never watched it.

>>What the hell was that guy all bent out of shape over??

In his quest to save himself by showing that the other dude was being duplicitous and capable of lying, he outed him as trans.

The irony is that the outer is a gay lawyer, in NC, who fights for gay rights. He fucked himself so bad that they didn't even have a paper vote.

Didn't watch it, but have to wonder if this 'reality' wasn't staged as a publicity stunt - ratings grab.

>>>if this 'reality' wasn't staged as a publicity stunt - ratings grab.

Doesn't seem to be staged.   Bitter comments from the "victim".  Plus Jeff P spoke out which apparently is an anomaly on these sort of things.

My wife and I have watched every season since the first and still think it's the most interesting "reality TV" show out there. IMO, last night's episode was one of the best in the past few years. I think the "outer" was truly sorry and that he just got too caught up in the moment.

I beg to differ, Dave. I though the tribal council a few weeks ago, where the teams that came in 2nd and 3rd had to all vote together, and people were whispering and openly strategizing, was great. You never see that at tribal.

Nice to see that you're not melting today Brian.  Good idea on the safe thread topic which is pretty much untrollable territory.

Yup, that was a really good one too but last night's tribal council caught me off guard and the emotions expressed by several people seemed genuine and intense. This season has been very good so far and I hope it continues!

I think Amazing Race is still a very solid show.

Ok, finally watched it.   What's weird is when Jeff Probst says "you just outed him to millions of people"   ...where as the show didn't really have to show it.   The producers could have cut it and scripted another ending with Varner leaving.
