Better than good/ok but not the best album of all time. They didn't last long in that configuration. Went to see them some time shortly after the album and they had become a generic soul band.
Saw Arthur Lee's Forever Changes tour in 2003 at the Park West in Chicago. He was backed by Baby Lemonade out of Los Angeles and an eight-piece horn and string section. Lee performed Forever Changes in order and in its entirety, along with a bunch of others from Love's catalog.

I think 'Da Capo' is better
I think 'Da Capo' is better and more wild/adventurously freaky, but 'Forever Changes' is real good.
