i dont think i did sallys but i def hit pepes and some other new haven joints - get the classic tomato pie - to the uninitiated it sounds boring, just sauce and a sprinkle of pecorino, but its amazing and is the classic, traditional new haven style pie - leaving new haven having only eaten pizzas topped with mozz and/or various meat or veg type toppings would be a great disservice to pizza

While in Connecticut, Antonio's in Simsbury is a sight to see and a treat to eat and drink. My wife and I discovered it when we did an overnight for the Wheels Of Soul tour. Tedeschi Trucks, Hot Tuna, & the Wood Brothers. Anyway, after we went to the restaurant, we decided it would have been worth it just to have traveled for that experience. The concert was a huge bonus. http://www.antoniosofsimsbury.com/
