Another Big East Coast Snow Dump... Film at Eleven.

Forums:

Snowed all day yesterday,  and into the late-night.  I was somewhat vigilant,  swept the White Fluff off the vehicles multiple times before it got dark.

Subaru Outback got swept several times before Dark,  and also ran up and down the driveway to "plow" & make tracks.

The partial bale of seed-starter mix was swept-off and ready to bring indoors,  but instead I took Hüsky for a run through his Favorite weather,  the Snowstorm.

Probably can't read the folding-ruler,  but the reading is about 12"  on the "front porch" roof.

There is some shoveling to do in the near future.

Hüsky,  of course,  is liek a Pig in Shiite,  and wants to go play in a Foot of Snow.  Personally,  I'm getting bored with it.

The electricity remained on this time,  which is quite Nice.  My goal today is to plow enough driveway to bring Hüsky to Dawg Park,  maybe get something to BBQ at the grocery store.

Hey Stu, where did you get that folding ruler? Brought back memories of my Dad's workbench, he had one almost like it. I haven't seen one like that since.

Mr.  RocknRye --

That one is actually a Mason / Bricklayer folding rule,  which my Dad acquired somewhere.

The other side has some strange scale for Brick - work.

You can still get those devices these days.

I've got a few different ones;  some are in 12" scale on one side with tenths of feet on the other.

The olde Pranque for the "New Guy On The Job" apprentice Carpenter was to present him with a folding rule (one section removed) and watch the newbie cutting boards six inches short or long...

Stu that's a good one, Ha!

Funny what triggers a memory huh? Thanks for the info, keep up the good work with Husky!

Lotsa moisture in the air!!

The new kitty would hate it.  But, he does enjoy catnip.....and, excuse, but his flatulence reminds me of that of a dog.  A rather large dog.  Is that what catnip does!?

Woke this morning to 4 inches of Suprise! Luckily we don't have anywhere to go.

It's above freezing now but still snowing - there's about 8 " on the car.

We got a foot, but it was gone by last night. Less than 12 hours from a foot of snow to the grass showing in the backyard.

Our foot or so has been melting away, still lots of white stuff on the ground.

10:27 foto of Log and Dog is actually a good-sized White Ash that fell across one Woods road.  I've been wanting to clear that out for a while;  but there's a Muddy spot in the road right there.  Every time it snows again, it's a small estuary.

Supposed to be clear & dry the next week + so one of these days.
