Thanks for the heads up. Enjoying this Rapture jam but to leave out the Fab Five Freddy rap is just wrong. lol

nice, thanks

No Dave Brogan on drums and vocals but Ezra Lipp is a fine TC fill in. Bring back Dave Brogan Band please. High Sierra & Connecticut Yankee shows were real fun. Nice to see the TAB ladies Jennifer & Natalie.

Missed it yesterday while micro dosing ego-death. Enjoying the show right now though.

I see our ALO friend Hayley Jane & Primates was playing Brooklyn Bowl recently. Nice to see thinks going well for her and her band. Anyone seen them yet???

are they vegans?

Santa Barbara-birthed band ALO celebrated Memorial Day on Monday with a performance at Terrapin Crossroads’ Ocean Park outdoor space in San Rafael, California. The quartet, still featuring Ezra Lipp on drums, welcomed a number of guests throughout their show.

Guitarist Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, multi-instrumentalist Zach Gill, bassist Steve Adams and Lipp took the stage without guests for the fitting “Barbecue” to open the matinee performance. ALO followed with “Sugar On Your Tongue” and “Waiting For Jaden” before they brought out Jennifer Hartswick on trumpet and vocals as well as Natalie Cressman on trombone and vocals. The Trey Anastasio Band mate first added to a cover of “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers. Jennifer and Natalie then contributed to “Try” and “I Second That Emotion.”

The concert turned into a true family affair when Natalie’s father Jeff Cressman replaced her for a portion of “Cowboys & Chorus Girls.” Next, Hartswick provided lead vocals on a cover of Blondie’s “Rapture” that led into ALO’s own “Wasting Time.” The quartet ended the set without any guests on staples “Plastic Bubble” and “Maria.”

ALO, Natalie and Jen opened yesterday’s second set with a take on the Grateful Dead’s “Shakedown Street.” Cressman and Hartswick then vacated the stage as the foursome continued the show with the jam vehicle “Shapeshifter.” Next, Adams had a turn on lead vocals for “Not Old Yet” featuring his longtime Gramblers band mates Deren Ney and Dave Mulligan on guitar.

Natalie and Jen made their return for versions of “Undertow” and “Girl I Wanna Lay You Down” that followed the mini-Gramblers reunion as well as a rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “Higher Ground.” The pair stepped off for “Blew Out The Walls” and then added to the “Lady Loop” set closer. ALO filled the stage for the “Storms & Hurricanes” encore, which featured Natalie Cressman, Jennifer Hartswick, Dave Mulligan and Jason Crosby.
