André Harvey, Sculptor of the Natural World, Is Dead at 76

Forums:

My wife and I went to the service for André today.  He was an amazing person and one of the best naturalist bronze sculptors in the country if not the world.  I met him over 50 years ago when he was my 6th grade home room teacher and as he was a good childhood friend of one of my uncles as well as a cousin to a best friend I would see him every few years at various family gatherings.  He merited the lone obituary in today's New York Times:

Hundreds of people attended the service today at the old Hagley Mills on the Brandywine River, it was a great sendoff for a wonderful human being.
