Anders Osborne/Jackie Green Acoustic Tour 2017

Forums:

I'm trying to get my foot in the door to a Leo Kottke show at the City Winery in NYC & noticed 2 Anders Osborne/Jackie Green Acoustic shows were just added for 10/27.

Billed as an"Acoustic Evening In the Round"

My god, that run from 9/3 - 9/11 looks like a brutal zig zag!

Any word if they are performing together; or is this a double bill?  I'm thinking they would sound great together.

Yes, it's confirmed it's a night of them kicking back & playing songs acoustically together.

I am in for Ardmore...:)

That at a girl, Ardomore.

Tickets for Westbury just went on sale.

Wow. Both NYC Winery show sold out today.

I grabbed a ticket to the Anders Osborne/Jackie Green Westbury show, and just found out a blues guitar player I should see, Ronnie Earl is playing the ame night near by me. Oh well

Friday 10/20 is the Westbury gig.

Looking forward to this show.

They're at Count Basie in Red Bank on Wednesday. Sweet line up. Been looking forward to it.

Blue Rose Foundation Benefit Concert

Steve Earle, Joan Osborne, Jackie Greene, Anders Osborne, Steve Forbert and special guest Jason Crosby come together on the Count Basie Theater stage for an acoustic evening of songwriters in the round – solo and together! This unforgettable evening of old fashioned tune trading

I might be able  to give Anders another shot if I was guaranteed he would just play acoustic.  And I already know I like Jackie acoustic.

ronnie earl is amazing

Anders solo opening for Bonnie Raitt last month...Good Stuff.

Took the audio I recorded and put it to this video.

Thanks Patrick. Pretty good one. Anders sounds like a young blues singer. Young, but blues nonetheless.

Have fun Keith, I always wanted to see Steve Forbert & got seats for a show his on 12/28.

Great show last night. Really enjoyed the Anders/Jackie portion. They did a rocking New Speedway to close the set with Jason Crosby on piano. They were really having fun with it. Closed the night with all performers doing a nice Petty tribute. You Don't Know How it Feels and I Won't Back Down.

Oh and no Steve Forbert.  Recovering from recent surgery. Hopefully he's better for you in December.

Can't wait for this, I get my fix on Saturday in a super small theater in East Greenwich, RI

Oh shit, I just bought an extra ticket for Forbert. Thanks for the heads up Keith.

Great show you went to!

I really enjoyed the Anders/Jackie show tonight at The Space in Westbury, NY.

There was an opening act - Cris Jacobs, who does it all on his Martin Acoustic Guitar. Also played a Cigar Box Guitar as a lap steel and got down that.

I liked him. Chris joined Jackie & Anders for a good portion of their show and will be opening for them for the rest of the tour.

<There was an opening act - Cris Jacobs>

From Baltimore... very talented... used to front the Bridge...has opened for Steve Winwood... has his own band... works with Ivan Neville sometimes... plays Dead well

Was Mookie with Chris Jacobs? He plays with him a lot. Saw them at TXR couple weeks ago.

No Cris was solo & then came out to join the other two.  He's a very good accompanyist.

I picked up Jackie Greene's new record "The Modern Lives Vol. 1" at the show.

Not sure it's a full record or EP. It's only 24 minutes long.

I like it. Jackie played all the songs at the show.

Jackie plays all the instruments, recorded and produced it himself. Nice art work too.

Pick it up. Jackie said "He has a kid on the way."

Good Chit.

Modern Lives & Alabama Queen are great songs!
