Amsterdam cancelled. Mick has the Vid

I always thought the word "Covid" sounded like an app to upgrade Zoom.

Better now than July 19th, get well Mick!

What a drag it is getting colds.

I had to feel a little bad for my friend Gail (gailontherail). After flying back to the states for 2 days to see a concert and celebrate a mutual friend's birthday) she winged herself back to Amsterdam, went thru the pit brewhaha, filed into the stadium and got her rail spot, hung out with all the other Shidoobee pit creatures for show time, posted some social media photos and then the announcement was made that there would be no show. Talk about a let down. Bern has been canceled as well so the next show is in Milan on the 21st. I would not be surprised to see her in NYC today or tomorrow. That gal gets around.

A little goats head soup and he'll be feeling better in no time.  Satanic  penicillin does a body good.

What a bummer for your friend Gail, and everyone else that was already at the venue :-(

The Rolling Stones Confirm Rescheduled Amsterdam Date After COVID-19 Cancellation

Today, The Rolling Stones confirmed the first rescheduled date for their postponed shows that were scheduled for their ongoing Sixty tour. The shows–originally slated for Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam on June 13, and the Wankdorf Stadium in Bern, Switzerland on June 17– were postponed after Mick Jagger tested positive for COVID-19 on location after experiencing symptoms the day of the Amsterdam show.

In the initial statement they wrote, “The Rolling Stones are deeply sorry for tonight’s postponement, but the safety of the audience, fellow musicians and the touring crew has to take priority. The show will be rescheduled for a later date. Tickets for tonight’s show will be honored for the rescheduled date. Standby for details.”

Today, they shared their elation about being able to reschedule the date so soon. They wrote on their official Instagram page, “The Rolling Stones are delighted to confirm the rescheduled date for the postponed concert in Amsterdam. The show at the Johan Cruijff ArenA will now take place on Thursday, 7 July 2022.” They continued to express their deepest apologies to fans who would be unable to attend the new date.

A new rescheduled date for Switzerland has yet to be announced but The Rolling Stones’ original touring schedule following the June 17 postponement has not been altered and they’re set to play at the San Siro Stadium in Milan on June 21, and have dates laid out through July 31.
