ABBA

Forums:

Someone has changed the Wikipedia entry and The Visitors has gone from being "the final album" to "the most recent album". I guess we'll know for sure today...Is the world really ready for new ABBA music

I have always been on the ABBA bandwagon mainly because the songs are so damn good. Believe it or not, ABBA comes up often in band conversations and usually in the context of fan boying/girling and how each of those musicians wish that they could write ONE song as good as ABBA has, much less a ton of them. Talent is talent.

Both songs released today I thought had Abba magic for sure . Hard to believe it's been 40 years

Yes, they were good enough to mention it twice

They look old, but so do I.

Watched the video of  "I Still Have Faith In You" posted above.  Thank you for the link.   IMHO - it was plodding and over produced but without a catchy pop hook like "Dancing Queen."   Looks like it will be quite the production though.  The outfits will be over the top.

The "This Is Pop" doc series on Netflix has a great episode on the Swedish producers that ABBA kicked off and their impact on pop music. I really had no idea that so much pop music from Brittany to Pink is produced in Sweden and that all started because of ABBA.

What Ken said ....

For fucks sake let it die.

Grandma said, "Boy, go and follow your heart
And you'll be fine at the end of the line
All that's gold isn't meant to shine
Don't you and your one true love ever part"

Zimmy does ABBA.
