Skipped this and went to the two Roanoke shows, but met up with a few friends who were there and had a great time.

Maybe you meant "famous" not "infamous"? Infamous would have been that show that Jerry threw his guitar at Mickey and burned his drums down.

Thanks for the link. I attended this show on a whim and found tickets for less than face value at a rest area on the drive to Pittsburgh.

It was a different time then.

Also, July 6th marks the release date of In The Dark. The times were definitely changing after that album was released.

Is there a soundboard of that one available?? J/K... Obviously I need a refresher course on adjectives!

Thom, you in Roanoke?

While the sit in is amazing the best part of this show is Jerry's vocals on Shakedown. That is some truly fist pumping shit right there

Just listened to the Shakedown.  Very nice.  This show sounds like a hot one.  I also skipped it in lieu of Roanoke, and 30 years later find myself wondering why.  Thanks for the link!

I was also at this show. It was a solid show and a very good time.

I had 6th row center; Phil came out beforehand, Heineken in hand, to check out

the scene. I loved the first set and the Shakedown. I had seen the Nevells play with them at

the HJK New Years shows so that wasn't too surprising, it was a lot of fun.

The first time I saw Knockin', and the only time in that slot. I had seen the 3 Alpine shows,

Toronto and Rochester before this. I was bummed not to be able to make Roanoke, and sadder still when i

heard from friends how good they were. There were excellent moments in all 6 I caught on this tour, they were pretty

well in synch.

Thanks for posting the link.

I was there

Roanoke 7/8/87 rocks my world for that era, with the Crazy Fingers AND Comes a Time both after Space.
