Great record, but you'll have to wait two weeks for your celebration.

Exile was postponed to May 26.
From NME May 13, 1972:
Stones album delay
THE ROLLING STONES' new album -Exile On Main Street
will not now be available for another two weeks. Revised release date is
now May 26, instead of May 12 as originally planned. Reason for the
postponement is to ensure simultaneous release throughout the world.
I’m one of the folks who doesn’t worship Exile as an album. Too many filler tracks. I do get the idea that the album has a “mood” that carries through and is unique, but too many songs here are dispensable for me. Compared to its immediate predecessor Sticky Fingers that has several rock solid classics for the Stones — Brown Sugar, Wild Horses, Hear Me Knocking, Bitch, Moonlight Mile — I can’t find one track on Exile that stands as tall. Tumbling Dice doesn’t beat any of the Sticky Fingers tracks I cited above. I mean, yes Exile has a “vibe.” I just don’t think it has the songs. All Down the Line? Fluff. Let It Loose? Fluff. Soul Survivor? Fluff. I’m sorry.
Great record, but you'll have to wait two weeks for your celebration.
Somebody better tell The Rolling Stones that since I found out about it from their social media. LOL. I wouldn't be surprised if you were right, Herbal Dave.
Pink Floyd sure put out the goods starting with Meddle and followed by Darkside, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and then the Wall. Genesis also had quite the run ending up with The Lamb.
True Dat. Accept no substitute. Give me Torn & Frayed, Casino Boogie, Loving Cup and Turd on the Run and day, any time. All Down the Line shows they can swing and rock.....
When I'm going through deep grief, deep deep stuff, blasting Let It Bleed and Beggar's Banquet is what I need. Dancing to these 2 helps. Just listening is good. Loud. Louder.

Stones had that great 4 album
Stones had that great 4 album run of Beggars thru Exile
Dylan had 3 Bringing it all Back Home , Highway 61, Blonde on Blonde
For the Dead it would have been the three live albums Live Dead, Skull Fuck, Europe 72
Had the Dead put out a studio album of the new stuff on Europe 72
they could have had 3 great studio albums in a row
