I thought yesterday would be a "come to Jesus" moment for many Republicans who would finally see what a monster they created. But amazingly, 45% of Republicans support what happened. I know, polls schmolls, but still.

A direct poll with a sampling of only 1,397 respondents probably isn't very accurate. Honestly, in my personal poll of Republicans (I know quite a few) at least 80% of them condemn what happened yesterday. I'm sure the actual percentages are somewhere between this poll and my poll but I would bet it's a lot closer to mine.

27% of the US Congress supported the insurrection yesterday by objecting to the certification of Joe Biden's being duly elected President. That's a lot less than 45%, but it's still too damn many.
