I went to my first Grateful Dead show out on NY. It was a RIPPER . Might be the hottest Jack Straw I have ever seen. If you have not listened to 8/30/80 at The Spectrum it is well worth the time. Any other Zoners in attendance at this one?

One of the things I liked about Summer '80 was stretching out the pre drums with typical 1st set songs.  Saw San Diego 7/1/80.  13 song 2nd set.

Previous night on the 29th is another long, well played show.  Amazing 2nd set Let it Grow & very unusual pre-drums Other One.   

 

 

I was at both those spectrum shows.  I just remember how figgin hot it was in the good ole Spectrum that they had most of the doors--outside too opened.  I can still see these in my Mindy eye as senior year in high school started like the day before.  Both were solid shows for the era
