4.12.78 Duke Univ live premier *now*

Thank you strawbud

Ah, the Grateful Dead of my youth, the Grateful Dead I fell in love with, the Grateful Dead I still love most.

Jerry doing Pete Townshend-style "windmills" at the end of "Truckin'"... PRICELESS!

I got this video on VHS 30 years ago, about 11-12 years after the show.

It was as unbelievable to me then as it is now.

Thanks to those filmmaking students at Duke for having the foresight to shoot this with multiple cameras,

and thanks to the Grateful Dead for letting them do it.

An amazing night.

Grate show. Thanks!

I was lucky to be at the 82 Duke show.

Perfect for early Sunday morning coffee and daydreaming.

Another one from Christopher Hazard.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1He8xvrDfU

9/1/90 Shoreline JGB & great bonus: June 2004 interview w/the surviving JGB members @ The Warfield.   Gloria Jones brought Waiting for a Miracle to the group.

^That was released. I have a copy of it. Also good interview with Hunter on it.

Thanks. Watched the first set last night. You know it's a good show when the audience spontaneously claps a beat in between songs. Great energy. I was at William and Mary a couple of nights later. Good times.

Jerry also on drums.

He seems in rare form, constantly looking at Bobby for cues instead of the opposite.

Fun shoe, thanks for sharing.

Weir and Parish were on drums also

what a great shoe - the camera direction is pretty spot on for the times...

WOW - just finished it - HOLY Bejeeebus Jerry was on fire

Not too many shows where Around and Around is a highlight...
