No My First Memories was my Uncle Randy Blasting EP in the Early 70s Holding a Pull tab beer with a Gun Mounted in the back of His El Camino in the Deserts of Tucson Az.

I remember the "comeback" 1970 TV special smiley

I was  at my office at Pier 5 in SF when I got the news on the radio. I immediately called my girlfriend to tell her.

She dug Elvis- and dragged me to see him @ Oakland Coliseum-- 1972 I think. Glad I went.

Also the day Babe Ruth passed away....

The King and The Babe

I remember as a 9 year old being on vacation in Virginia in 1976. TV commercial came on for an Elvis show in Richmond the next day. Wasn't even sold out. Begged mom to go. She wouldn't go for it. I still razz her about it to this day.

"Are you gonna finish those fries?"

Black Leather Elvis Forever

hey hey my my

Loved the Blue Suede Shoes album as it was blue, first record I ever saw that wasn't the traditional black color.

In addition to the 2016 movie, there's also Elvis Meets Nixon (1997), which is pretty entertaining.

Since Elvis last left the building 40 years ago, it's no wonder the Millennials can't seem to find him.

Elvis has left the building.....

Bun?

Elvis & Nixon was hilarious. My wife was upset that there wasn't a better looking actor playing Elvis though.

Spring 1995 my buddies went to Graceland after Memphis Grateful Dead and saw Jerry inside smoking a butt & drinking a can of Stroh's.

Did the any members of the Dead meet Elvis?

Donna was one his backup singers.

Don't know if there are other direct connections, but Elvis thought his experience in film and television could make him a "master of disguise," which would allow him to infiltrate the Grateful Dead and the underground rock scene to ferret out dope peddlers as a special undercover DEA agent.

My stepson was born the day he died.
