Mr Smith is lucky Mr Rock did
Mr Smith is lucky Mr Rock did not fall & hit his head. It would have been more serious.
Mr Smith's wife suffers from Alopecia, a pattern baldness that rarely affects women. It is a disease I have. Would anyone jump up to protect me from ridicule?
I felt that it was tasteless that he mentioned Venus & Serena's Dad as a protector of the family. as if that lent some authority to his behavior.
I also felt it was equally tacky to throw Denzel under the bus.
Should the Academy take action against Mr Smith for his violent behavior? Should he be banned from the organization or be stripped of his award or should an asterisk be placed by his name?
Or should his celebrity status overlook this incident?

Mr. Rock needed to be shown the boundaries. Yes, he is quite fortunate not to have also fallen and hit his head.
Separately, the fresh prince hits about as hard as he raps.
And in some strange way, props to chris rock for taking the hit.
I felt like I needed a shower after seeing that exchange.
