From my corner of the world, the 49ers offense was absolute shit today against a bad Tampa Bay defense, but they won because their defense/improved pass rush with Dee Ford & Nick Bosa played well and forced mistakes from a bad Tampa Bay QB. Their defense is good, but the 49ers aren't going to win many games if their offense doesn't show SIGNIFICANT improvement, and soon.
As for Brown & the Patriots, that will all come down to whether Brown is as totally insane as he appeared to be with the Raiders, or if that was mostly a show to get off the Raiders and play where he wanted to play.
If he pulls any of the stuff with the Patriots that he was pulling with the Raiders he'll be cut quickly and will then have trouble finding another job. I get that he pulled lots of narcissistic nonsense with the Steelers, but his act with Oakland was nothing short of bizarre. I think mainly he just wanted to end up in New England and he & his evil agent worked it so that he did.
It will be interesting to see if he fucks with Belichick, because no matter that he's still the best WR the league has seen in a very long time, he needs the Patriots far more than they need him.
If I was betting I'd say that he'll show up to practice & meetings and rage on the field, then get another massive contract next year.
