2019 NedFest canceled

Forums:

Sorry, I know no one but a few would be interested in this unfortunate news (and they probably know already).

Short story -- the town had other plans for the park in which the festival is held, there are no nearby suitable spots, and putting in the effort to pull off the event was not worth it to the folks that do it.

Sad, because I think it was going to be the 20th year for the family-friendly festival at this site. Maximum 2000 people (usually half that), short walk into town, easy-peezy everything, decent weather, nice mix of local and national talent, and very kind people.

The line-ups that graced that stage sorta defined the jamband/jamgrass genre. Leftover, String Cheese, Yonder, Motet, Elephant Revival, among others considered it homebase....fitting that Jorma ended it.

Have always wanted to go, but have never been.  It's a bummer they couldn't figure it out.

Bummer.  I was hoping to make this year.

A fantastic small festival like no others. Kind of like Teluride 87 atmosphere with only a couple thousand.

Hey, Colorado jamgrass scene, ya burnt!

So sad. May a Phoenix rise from the ashes.

Fun while it lasted.

That's the kids parade leaders. I seem to recall.

You  could leave your backpack/purse/belongings by your chair and not be concerned while cruising the fest grounds.

and meeting solid zoners and new friends.

Nick(Hikingman) sighting!
