15 years ago at The Warfield Theatre!

Forums:

My first trip to the historic theatre.  I traveled to San Francisco previously to this run for concerts and vacation. Was an awesome experience which will not soon be forgotten.   Good times and I still have the purple pin in a box of memorabilia.

9-27 was my first PLF show and first Dead related shows since Jerry's passing... I was blown away!

The next week I began looking for the recording, which TaperRob hooked me up with, and that's how I ended up on the Zone.

So thanks for the reminder, 4Winds, I'm gonna hafta crank these shoes this weekend.

15 years? Wow..  Lot's of memories of that weekend.   I'm the guy yelling 'Warren' after the introduction of Bobby's party crashing.  Honestly though the last thing that weekend needed was Bobby or Mickey.

Thanks for the reminder and link, hard to believe it's been 15 years already...This run was my Phil bus stop, got on and rode it until the GD50...great times!!

(((Gwen's buttons)))

Awesome. I know how that feels.

I brought a tape of the Kingfish album & was Rocking out to "Jump for Joy" when I landed.

I know it was not Phil. But there was no PLF in 82.

>>>the last thing that weekend needed was Bobby or Mickey

Hello, Mickey.

Hello, Phil.

my wife and i caught the 26th & 27th.

we spent a week in the bay area and got to spend time with friends we hadn't seen in years. we also got comped into and were able to watch most of the second set of the dead's shoreline show the week before from the side of the stage. after seeing so many shows there it was strange to see the place from the bands point of view.

flew out solo and had a great time.

Crazy to think this was 15 years ago!

>>Honestly though the last thing that weekend needed was Bobby or Mickey.

I was there for night 3.

Mickey ‘s microphone was turned up to high,

and he was on some weird scaffolding overlooking the band.

...otherwise good show.

Great shoes.   Energy alone was worth it.   And yes that crazy fingers was delightful.
