Hey everyone,

Thanks for the birthday love; just seeing this now... I appreciate it.  I'm doing well... had a nice birthday and a great Thanksgiving.  I'm deeply in love with my girlfriend who I started dating over the summer and things couldn't be going any better.  She has 2 kids who are around my daughter's age and the 3 of them get along really well.  The physical and emotional attraction between my girlfriend and I is intense and passionate; I feel great in my decision to hold out for my person as I turned down a few opportunities that I had earlier this year.  I think we're going to be moving into her house at some point and will likely be renting my home out to someone.  My girl owns a very successful hair salon and is doing well for herself; I'm totally inspired by her entrepreneurial spirit as she's about to complete her certification to be a certified health coach specializing in naturopathy.  I just passed my test to become a certified personal trainer last week which is something I've been working hard towards this year.  I lift weights competitively through power lifting and training has been going well; my coach is an amazing resource and working with him is like drinking from a fire hose... I'm up 20 lb bodyweight on this bulk I'm going through right now.  Competing again in March and should have a 3x bodyweight dead lift by then which is something I've been working towards for several years now!  My girl and I connect deeply on a spiritual level as well as she meditates daily, our connection extends through to our interest in health and the human body as well.  It's a beautiful thing.  February makes 10 years since I quit drinking alcohol.  I still smoke weed occasionally though I find I can get depressed easily while using when I find myself in that familiar rut of smoking all day.

My Dad and I worked on a clubhouse for my daughter out in the backyard.  It took a few months and several thousand dollars and I couldn't be happier with how it came out!  It's pictured below.  The only bittersweet feeling I have about it all is that we may be moving out of here to move in with my girlfriend.  My plan at this point is to move into her house perhaps next fall which would allow for my daughter to at least get a spring/summer out of using the thing.  The left side is for my shed and the right side is her clubhouse with a ladder up to a little loft.

My job is going really well- I have a nice blend of traveling once a month and working from home the remainder of the time.  I'll be in Colorado (Pueblo and Denver 12/6 - 12/8).  HighString, I think you live out there?  If you're around and want to meet up, I could be down.

I lurk a few times a week and occasionally chime in on threads where someone needs vibes or shares important life news.  Other than that, I just don't feel like engaging on anything else.  My opinions and worldview don't fit the consensus here and my exchanges with folks left me frustrated.  I was right there with the majority of folks here with hating Trump through his presidency and when I expressed hesitancy in taking the vaccine I was called an anti-vaxxer pejoratively by multiple people and even had someone I respect deeply (who will remain unnamed) say "Fuck the unvaccinated".  I guess it's all just water under the bridge at this point though I did want to explain why I don't really post anymore for those who may be wondering.

Glad to hear things are going well Jay, I am planning on being at the Sat Max Creek show but I think it is the 16th of Dec at the Met. See ya there if that is the show you're hitting

Atta' boy Sio, you're truly a good one. It's good to hear that you & yours are doing so well.

Keep on doing what you're doing, and maybe even a little more as far as posting on here. You always bring a good tone, something we can all use more of.

Hey Jay - glad to hear that you are doing well. Yes, I'm in Boulder County but still limit my social interactions to my close friends and family. The reasons are many and varied. Keeping the lamp trimmed and burning. Cheers!
