Saw that one, 29th was real solid.

Most of the acoustic set below with some great stage banter.

I was only at the 29th. Thanks for the link for the full show. Just saved to favorites.

damn, great picture.

I have a love/hate relationship with summer.

I love the $ I make.

I hate the headaches it brings.

I love Fall. It is nice weather for me and all the snow birds come down and tell me how hot it is and throw mad money around.

Thanks heat. Took the shot at high tide. The food at Kingstones was great, I had a fresh flounder Reuben & some Margaritas.

I love Fall as well Tim. But summer butters your muffin.

I'm not ready for Summer to be gone yet. We've hit 55 degrees today with blustery winds from the north. Lows close to frost tonight! FUCK THAT SHIT!

Mr.  Flash --

I understand your dilemna.  Sooo hot & muggy all Summer,  but that brings in multi-multi A/C maintenance $$$.  And those Snowbirds,  they are crucial to the economy.

Had a place in Canaveral for some years,  and visited when Weather was Freezy & miserable in Jerseyland.  I always got a laugh from people walking around with wooly hats & mittens when it got down to the 60's in January or Feb.  To me that's perfectly comfortable temp - zone.

Beautiful contrast on that pic and perfect timing.

Hope everyone has a great three day weekend.

10 Days later (same time) as my first photograph, from the same dock at Kingstones Clam Bar in Sayville, NY

The summer, she's a slipping away.

Thunder, lightning and rain here in Stinson. Feels like east coast summer.

Wouldnt mind being "in a clam bar in New York." (Nod to Bob).

Nice photos Blue.

Lovely comparative photos, Bluelight.

It's beginning to feel like autumn here and I'm not ready. It'll be time soon enough to light the pilot of my heater and close the skylight for the year. Garden changes.

Thank you.  It was 77 today. Not many days like this left in the year.

Going to a farmers market Saturday & they're well into autumn mode already.

Christmas stuff in stores.

sigh

The swan family paid me another visit

Hit Seger at Pine Knob last weekend - a most enjoyable end to a sweet, southern Michigan summertime. Maybe not as epic in my life as 6/20/91 at the same venue was at the time - but great for 2017.

It's been easily a decade or more since Pine Knob became DTE, but for Bob's farewell to the venue the shirts and posters reverted back to Pine Knob along with listing his 27 sell outs there. Everybody I knew growing up that listened to the same music as I did seemed to hit Seger at Pine Knob at some point. It was great to set the time machine back to 1986 and relive past glories and stories with my old Grateful Dead-show touring buddy.

Bob Seger. That is totally awesome! Nice photograph.

One of many highlights of my summer.   Dinner with Sikiru, Mark, Perry and Woody and Sunshine at James at the Mill in Johnson, Arkansas (they closed soon after - I will miss them) the night before Highberry,19467881_10155478659192421_3535288311782510685_o_0.jpg

Fretboard! Very nice to see you.

Richie, it looks like a really happy time.

Hello swans.

Had some nice rainbows earlier this summer

I love that shot.

Thanks, Blue.

It has been a great summer for dragonflies too. Saw this one today.

I am very grateful to have 4 full seasons.  Without Summer, I wouldn't love Fall so much. The cycle is good but my senses seem heighten when seasons change. Different scents, air, color of the sky and such. Nothing like a nice outdoor show in the summer. Greetings Fall!

Can't wait for the flannel shirt in the morn and t-shirt in the afternoon.

I love the US Blues here at the end of the first set instead of the usual encore spot. Probably the only version of any song I heard where my favorite was during the Vince era. Starts at the 53:57 mark or 50 minute mark for a nice Greatest Story>US Blues combo. The whole show is pretty damn sweet, as was most of this Garden run.

Kingstone's Clam Bar 17 days later. It's over Johnny.

Was dark when I got to work tonight.

That kind of officially flips the switch for me.

Fall's okay, but not the loss of light in the evening.

"Darkness shrugs and bids the day Goodbye"

I was much more accepting with autumn when there was a Grateful Dead tour tied into it.

clouds2.jpgits special here sometimes...

Awesome.

Took this shot yesterday at that same place.  About 2 hours earlier, just to catch some sunlight.

Today the northeast is in the middle of a rain storm.
