The first time I had flown for shows with friends and first time at Red Rocks.
Was next to a mystery sweet sister at the show who had ridden a bike to the show from NM. We were in lockstep dancing through the show and there was some energy building during the evening.
This NJ boy totally chickened out. My wife kids me that it was an earlier version of her and that I just couldn't handle her yet .......
Believe that it was the 8/12 show when the biggest spliff that I have ever seen ~22" waist by 18"inseam - was passed around a few rows in front of me.
Watchtower & Black Muddy River were real new and highlights that night

I feel old....
Flew out from Delaware with my brother and a friend for these. The shows at the Rocks were fantastic, the drive down to Telluride was beautiful, and Telluride itself was a blast even though the shows were just so-so.

Flew out ticketless and got in two out of three. Had to watch from the hill the third night.

Looking back, not sure if I am proud of this, We caught Neil Young at Red Rocks after the GD and headed up toward Yellowstone. 3 hours later we figured that we could make it to Tempe if we U turned right that minute. So I blew off Yellowstone for a Dead show.
Had to fill the tank and lock my dog in the car with the AC running during the show. That must have freaked out some heads in the lot.

I went to Red Rocks, couldn't make Telluride, which was a bummer.
Had a great time, they were pretty strong shows.
After the last night, this security asshole walked up to a big group of
people in the lot and shouted: "ALL RIGHT! ALL OF YOU PACK UP YOUR HIPPIE
SHIT AND GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!!!

87 was also my last RR trip..
87 was also my last RR trip...I managed to see the GD there in 83/85/87.
I really want to make it back there one more time...
Also want to check out the Gorge someday.
I like knowing that other folks from here attended the same shows as me back in the day...

this is what I like the best. I bet I have set right next to many of you at a show back then, not knowing about this internet thingy. And many more since. Its a bond.
I found out some neighbors were also at the 88 Oxford Plains show and it blew my mind. Instant friends everywhere.
