Kid Friendliest Dead & Co venues?

Fenway is really tight and the sight lines suck if you leave your seat, not sure I'd like that if I were 6, but I'm only 8 so I often can't relate...  freak freely

I took my 7yo to Camden (NJ) last summer for Dead and Co. Lawn was crowded but it wasn't bad to walk down to the concession stand when he needed a break. Was cool to dance with my little guy to standing on the moon ❤️

on the Summer Solstice Full Moon - took my ( much older ) to her first 'full participation' show at Camden - the lawn was packed but chill enough

Disney On Ice offers a pretty kid friendly environment for six year olds. I understand that park is also a popular destination among that demographic.

Took my whole family to the SPAC back in 2011 to see Furthur.  We sat on the lawn and I thought was great.  It was the first show GD type show that all of us attended at the same time.  Watching my wife and kids dance to this music after all of these years was just magical.

Any of the stadium shows which are well undersold will have rows or sections for the taking ... not exactly like having a grass field to run around and play, but at least you and your family won't be crowded or intruded upon by "adult" behaviors.  Might have to sacrifice sight / sound a bit, but I know the space existed at Folsom Field in Boulder to the side of the stage and up high toward the back.

However, had a bit of a hard time dealing with a couple "parents" who opted to hang out with their kids in a high traffic dancing section up high on one of the major catwalks in the corner of the opposing endzone.   Their were stairs leading up from the catwalk to the top top section; which created little alcoves in the main catwalk which was kind of out of the way of the main flow of traffic ... where several of us were grooving pretty hard.  Some parents who were seated in the row just in front of the catwalk saw that it was a happening spot, so the dad brings his 4 year old daughter by the hand and the mom following behind with 1 year old in arms and join the fray ... which immediately turned the scene from an existing "orange alert" (due to frequent cross traffic) to "red alert" for all of us who were already there.  I certainly don't begrudge them for wanting to join the fun - especially to share the experience with their kids, but can't help but question their judgment given how many empty rows and other better spots they could've sought out.

DeadCo Shoreline lawn was the most crowded show Esau's(6 1/2) been to and he's been to the last seven Hardly Strictly's. 

I think they could've pulled if off with 4 and 1, but didn't go about it the "right way".

Yeah, Shoreline lawn was a total shit show in spots ... had some kids (10 and 12) in our extended group who were enjoying themselves, but clearly they had to "contend".   Wondering if a second day will spread out the demand this year?  ... the show near Grass Valley was wide open. 

We have brought our children to see live music since they were very young.  It's what we love and why wouldn't we want to share this with them? I just think that it's my role as a parent to make sure that their presence is not impeding upon anyone else, this has been particularly true in certain settings.

That's a perspective I can respect. I've certainly seen my fair share of families with young kids (at summer Red Rocks shows, in particular) who have acted like the adults attending the adult event are impending on them, which is absolutely asinine.

Not a fan of children at shows in general, but I do appreciate your perspective there.

Was at a CRB show this past summer and was next to a parent who lost her shit on these guys who were smoking a joint in front of them.  My feeling is that if you bring your kids to a show where there are things going on that you don't want to expose them to you should either relocate or take the opportunity to have a conversation with your kids about said behavior.  Plenty of family friendly options out there if you want to expose your kids to music.  

Well NYC and Citi field or Hollywood Bowl and Disneyland ain't bad.

Saw lots of families at Citi field last year.

Must've cost them a small fortune.

Look for little ragers on FB. Its a group of like minded parents. Great discussions. My vote is SPAC, but we took the kids to Watkins for the phish fest last year and stayed all three days. We had a blast!

Dead & Co.? I would never subject my children to such a thing! I took my kids to see Phil & Friends when they were kids and they have both grown into well adjusted young adults. Don't screw around here - do what's right for the children - and that means 1. No slow tempos. 2. No Shatner vocals and most importantly 3. NO MICKEY HART EVER!
