I always loved this run of shows at the Coliseum! All three nights were special. I was a junior I high school and deep into the shows by this point. This was just a hop and skip from Shoreham for me and my friends and family; we represented well!

I confuse all 3, they melt into one. Other then the "Caution Jam" in one of the shows, there is a "Stella Blue" in there that was the best I heard. (Dark & Erie)
I was from Seaford, so we would hang all day at NC, go back home for dinner, come back as all the fans that came from all around the US would be showing up.
Great times.
Was Shoreham just far enough to light a joint or 2, and air out the windows?
PS- The New Haven shows were just as fun and less chaotic

5/9 streaming now.
Saw two out of this run, if memory serves. Actually bought some, um, electricity from a guy dressed in an Uncle Sam outfit (on that bus from the train station to the Coliseum). Later, I looked two miles up a police horse's nostril.

^ lol...htfd one year...a htfd officer s horse was doing his best mr. Ed impersonation while the cop was talking to a bunch of us....of course, i was electrified and had an awfully tough time keepin it together as horse waz repeatin everything cop was sayin...but in deeper, cartoon like voice....his mouth was moving perfectly in sync...
Then i just figured horse was a ventrilaquist and cop was his dummy...and i was fine....

Since I discovered the internet archive in 2004, spring of 1981 is easily one of my most heavily investigated time periods. Not just one tour, but two! The Uptown show with the killer 1st set and long He's Gone was one of my fav tapes back in those days (too young to see em then, my 1st show was in 86).

Great run at Nassau and agree w Thom on Hampton. Hampton 81 was my first Hampton show. The Spectrum was also very good. But 5/6 at Nassau was the pick of the litter IMO.

""The Spectrum was also very good""
Scheduled for Saturday/Sunday 5/2 & 5/3, but the 76ers were in the process of blowing a 3 to 1 lead to the Celtics, and game 7 had to be played on the 3rd.
The boys came back on Monday with one my favorite early 80's shows, Cornell & New Haven, 5/11, from this tour also make the list.
