Yes, No, or Yes

Forums:

Ok...im not only confused, as i normally am when i try and figure out who actually is and or was in the band Yes, but, now i have a question i seek zoner advice from.

So...there s TWO tours concurrent w differant members as the band previously known as ARW (anderson, rabin, and wakeman) officially changed their name to Yes (featuring anderson, rabin, and wakeman) on April 9th.

They are currently on tour and will be in northeast in late august and at times throughout fall. At same time Yes is touring in the Yestival Tour (howe, alan white, others) . On that bill is Todd Rundgren and Carl Palmers Band, both of which i would love to see.

Now, the dilemma...and two questions...

I like the ARW lineup, musically, although i dont really like the band Yes after Rabin joined (think Owner of a Lonely Heart).

I also, dont really care for (or know alot about musicianship)  lineup touring w Howe and White, although i bet they sound great. They too, will be in northeast this summer/fall.

So, who should i go see if i could only see one? (I know the easy answer is go to both, or neither, but if you HAD to choose...)

AND...does anyone ever recall another band pulling this off, where two factions of band are touring, both using the original band name? I cant think of any other acts doing it, and know of many (pink floyd, genesis come to mind) that it actually caused huge riffs and fighting among band members.

Considering Yes has officially had 19 differant members over the years...maybe they can pull this off...

Thoughts?

Save your $

Saw the Howe Yes a few months back and did not like it. Usually I will medicate myself and like just about anything. Found it very boring and predictable. Save your $ on that one.

I'm with Tim.. I am a huge Howe fan, but his latter day bands without Jon have not done it for me.

On the other hand, I saw ARW last year and had a rockin' good time.

This is what i figured...im bummin, cause i really wanna see Carl Palmer, and Rundgren...if they were openin for ARW , itd be a no brainer

Thanks for input

Anderson, saw the other band a couple months ago , was disappointed.

By the way,  Happy Belated Birthday Birthday, Jambone.

I have made the decision to pass on a Yes shows that has Anderson, Wakeman, and Rabin - 9/24/17 at the Tillis Centrer in Westbury after seeing Rabin play a bit at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame show the overnight.

Are there 2 Yes bands touring right now?

I'd stick with Howe Gelb....

Thanks jaz!
