I will probably get into town early. Would be interested in doing dinner if anybody else is so inclined. If you have caught these guys then you know how good they are. If not, this is your chance.
Both those shows will be great. I saw them with Joe and Keith together a few weeks ago, it was fantastic. Have fun, I will be seeing them Sat. at the Fairgrounds for a benefit for the Yuba River Charter School.
Bart, looking forward to this show but I am not sure they need Craven to put them over the top. They are already one of the best bands touring right now. Sometimes additions are subtractions. See you next Saturday for Bill and AW?
GREAT show at the Mateel, but woefully underattended... only about 60 in the audience (and Mark D was not among them)
hard to figure why the attendance was so low... perhaps competing parties on Cinco de Mayo, but more likely a lack of name recognition amongst the Humboldt hippie crowd
Joe Craven did in fact contribute substantially to the enjoyment factor... and Keith Greeninger is an amazing performer in his own right
I talked to somebody who had attended the AW show the previous night, at the Mystic in Petaluma... they estimated only 70 peeps at that gig
Hi Gary, glad you had fun. Keith is one of my favorites, I use to see him all the time in City Folk. Joe Craven came out first did a few songs then a few with his daughter when I saw them together. I still like my AW solo with no guests. I just love when the two drummers get locked in and rolling. My show was a bit short because it was a benefit show, plus Paul's voice was a bit tired but still a great show. Not sure why these guys don't draw more of a crowd, they have great skills, good original songs and always lay it on the line every show. I was hoping since they have been playing at TXR they would get a bigger crowd, They are playing more and more out of town so hope they get a break before they burn out.

And maybe Ila and the girls too. See you up there. What is up with the 101? Are both lanes open? If not, how much of a delay?
Shows at TXR were excellent. A GREAT night all around.

everybody at the 5/5 Mateel
everybody at the 5/5 Mateel show was totally into the music... it's just that the crowd was pretty sparse
I gotta figure that, at some point, the positive word of mouth about AW will kick in and the band will develop a strong following here
