David Nelson Band & Friends w/ Crying Uncle Bluegrass Band: A Benefit for the After School Bluegrass

Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime musical collaboration
presented by the California Bluegrass Association and Help’s On The Way
This concert is a benefit for the After School Bluegrass Club Program, supporting children’s roots music education access across California. Every ticket, every raffle entry, and every auction bid goes toward keeping music education alive for kids who wouldn’t otherwise have access.
David Nelson—a founding voice of the West Coast psychedelic-Americana sound, and a longtime collaborator across the extended Grateful Dead family—brings together a singular lineup including Suzy & Eric Thompson, Paul Knight, and Lowell “Banana” Levinger. Crying Uncle Bluegrass Band opens—themselves alumni of the California Bluegrass Association’s youth programs, back to pay-it-forward in support of the kids coming up behind them.
Patron Reception, Patio: 5:30 – 6:45pm
A chance to extend your evening as a supporter of the mission, with a little extra celebration built in.
Includes live music from Pacific Drive, food & drinks, and a Meet-and-greet with the night’s performers.

The show is pretty clearly
The show is clearly billed as David Nelson Band, and it's not like those guests could make a band of their own, so I'd figure it's a good bet that Mookie, Sears & Sless will be there.
As for the ticket prices, no spot taken but it's a benefit for what sounds like a good cause, so what the hell.
In that room it will likely be a locals chat fest but still probably a good party and a good time.

Well, it was sparsely
Well, it was sparsely attended and David looked and sounded terrible. There were a few moments when Barry and Pete clicked and sounded good but that was it. Said my quiet goodbyes to a once vibrant scene. The winery at the end of the month is the last DNB show.

Well, that's a shame, but Nelson has been on this planet a looong time and has had his full measure.

Is that official, or your speculation?
Either way, even if his performing days are closing, hopefully David is comfortable and stays that way for a long time to come.

Well, if that's really true
If that's really true then I imagine that show will be a very emotional event.
No spot taken, but I certainly had more than my share of good times at DNB shows and will be sad if there are no more.
