I was gifted an American flag and a flagpole when I bought my house a few years ago. I have not hung it yet, but am considering it for next week. I still remember my parents hanging one on 6/4/76.

I fly mine a lot. Upside down
I fly mine a lot. Upside down most days, but right side up when Veteran's Day or Memorial Day or D-Day rolls around. This month has mostly been the pride flag, except for D-Day and Election Day last week. In a few days, the American flag will return.
We need to reclaim our flag and what it means. They may be good at fucking things up, and claiming they are the true Americans, but they are wrong, and they can't destroy or diminish my patriotism, no matter what they think of it.
Some flag waving days, I wear this shirt as well. Very appropriate in Utah, and becoming more so nationwide.

I am a realist. Only the Evil Orange Orangutan could destroy what should have been a great milestone for the USA. This is a far cry from the 200th celebration. Our country is virtually unrecognizable. I cannot celebrate the shit show that America has become. It is quite unsettling and depressing. Our country will take generations to heal and get better if at all. The planet is a very sad place right now. I have no doubt that when the earth has had enough of the human species running and ruining it, it will reclaim it. I will observe July 4th by listening to as many of the July 4th performances of the Grateful Dead (one of the truly great things that mankind has produced) that I can. I believe there were 7 in total, I'll have to check my vast collection to see if I have them all. Fare thee well my fellow zoners and enjoy the day as you see fit. May there come a time again for this country where we let the good times roll.
