Thank You I.B.E.W.

Forums:

So, when I turned 65, my union retiree health benefits dropped both vision and dental. For almost 7 yrs I have been without and both my mouth and my eyes have suffered for it.

But, in the mail on Monday was a notice that the union will be restarting those benefits come January.

This is the best news I have received in a very long time.  And in these times, way beyond unexpected.

I know this is a personal thing, but it is such good news that I had to share it with you.

Carry on.

B is for Brotherhood. And sisters too.  Glad they stepped up to the plate.

Fuckin' socialist.

Honestly Mark, that's great news, and not the type of thing that seems to happen in this day & age of less and less.

I just had the same thing happen with dental when I crossed over 65 in June. My medical benefits continue to include vision, but I worry about my choppers.

I've never been the most diligent of fellows in regards to taking care of my teeth, but now that money is on the line I've been trying more. Go figure.

So go crunch some ice or enjoy a jawbreaker Mark!

NYC Local 3?

Flossing IS the answer!

LA. Local 11.

Congrats, Mark! I've never had dental insurance and only have insurance for my vision for stuff that can be billed as diabetic related. It's worked out somehow.

Good news is good news!

Congrats, Mark. Glad to hear the good news!

power to the people.

people have no idea why there are holidays or the work day is 8hrs...

Reddy Kilowatt would approve.

Congrats Mark.

Great news. Never heard a bad thing from the journeymen I've known that served their apprenticeship through the IBEW.

When I retired I got a small pension from the state and my union provides a supplemental piece.  Makes a huge difference.
