Looks like Jamaica is starting to get some first aid for the havoc wrought by Hurricane Melissa. Too bad the current Admin gutted USAID, but hey, we're fighting a naval battle against the Venezuelan Yakuza, right?
Obviously, Jamaica will need a lot of help for the rebuild. Wonder if there will be a benefit concert?

I noticed that the Dark Star Orch January festival was right in the hurricane's path. I hope those folks bought travel insurance.
I have mixed feelings about festivals in poverty-stricken counties -- on the one hand the locals need the financial infux. On the other are you just perpetuating exploitation of the poor for the benefit of corporate resort owners (who probably don't live nearby).
