Anyone know what's up with ratdog board?

Forums:

I finally was able to guess my password here (after having to use temp method for the past 5 years) ... so happy to be back after a couple / few months hiatus around these parts!

However, I've noticed the ratdog.org message board has apparently been down for several weeks and not sure if it's a permanent thing or maybe a bump in the road of sorts?

It's just slowing down...

Had no clue it existed

Good to see you, FOM. I was wondering where you'd gotten to.

I haven't even thought about the Ratdog board in almost 20 years

Likewise, Mike.   I'm not sure if the temp password reset is simply not working overall here or it was just me?  Perphaps someone in the know might want to look in case others are locked out for a similar reason.

On a related note:  I'm now using bitwarden ... it's like Last Pass, very cool so far (although a bit paranoid about the concept even though it's supposed to be secure).

Hope all is well in your world!

FOM, sorry you ran into that. There's an sometime glitch in the software so the password reset doesn't work. Please send us an email if it happens again, we can give you a password to use to log in so you can create your own.

I hear you, but the fact is we have too many passwords to remember anymore. I just checked, and I have 176 stored in a manager.

Thanks judit!  No worries at all, it actually turned out well for me since I was finally able to recover my actual password for real by memory.  Perhaps the spirit of Phil inside of me somehow prompted me to use the "force" or whatever it is to actually remember it after a few years of just resetting.

I only brought it up as an "admin" thing in case others might also be locked out.   Your efforts are much appreciated regardless!

It's totally the case, nor should we have passwords that can be remembered in terms of best practice.

I have been managing them locally on my PC with some security, but I suspect it would easily be cracked if a pro got their hands on it.  I'm still in the midst of a migration from this local source to bitwarden ... so running both at the moment, although have now thought about systematically removing them from my local storage systematically each time I verify their use in bitwarden.   It's about 400 so a bit of a task, but long overdue!

Anyone know why you can't find the Ratdog album on any streaming music sites?

^ I'm not sure since I don't really use any of the streaming music sites, but it looks like you can access it on YouTube at:

... looks like it opens with Bury Me Standing, the frist of 10 tracks.   It's easy to pull up the rest on a desktop, but not sure on mobile.

Not disputing it's a "Ratdog album", but have always found it interesting how Two Djinn > Corrina flows nicely as if it were a GD recontextualization of Corrina ... the latter of which has always gotten my vote for "most improved" GD song by Ratdog live, but feel it's a great studio stitching of back to back tracks.  I've always been a fan of the album as a whole.

This guy has all the tracks from Evening Moods, but not in a unified playlist.
