Women's Right to Vote

Forums:

Our right to vote is in peril, and today is the anniversary of the 19th Amendment.

Keep your eye on this one...

'It ain't me it's the people that say'

Thats right. Hope this country finds its way home  someday soon

Got that right.

I've been preaching that to my female MAGA friends for two years now.

First, MAGA wants to put the colored people and the gays back in their place, and they've been working overtime on those two goals.

Then a general national takeover, by force if necessary, to all opposition of the party by controlling the media, rigging elections and creating fear and hatred through propaganda and by arresting/crushing open opposition, things that are also definitely happening now.

And then, don't doubt it, once they have complete control, MAWMA (Make America White Men Again) the people behind the scenes who are really pushing the buttons of power will look to put women back in their place, and that includes revoking the 19th Amendment.

It may sound over-the-top right now, but in my uneducated opinion that is exactly what the deep right state wants and have been aggressively and openly working towards, and they're using the buffoon Trump and his buffoon followers to open those doors.

These are definitely interesting times.

It's kind of weird that it hasn't led to a woman being elected POTUS, losing to Trump, of all people,  twice.  At least Hilary Cinton won the  popular vote.  In that case, you could lay the blame with the Electoral College system, but with Kamala Harris, what gives, racism?

My Grandmother, my daughter's Great GM, lived through getting the right to Vote as a young woman. When she was in her late 90's, and my daughter was a young girl, i used to have her go sit with her GGM and talk to her about what shes seen in her lifetime...getting the Right to Vote, having to hide she that was married to get a job...all the advances that women made before her that many, MANY take for granted. Hearing that shit first hand resonated with her and her friends...lets hope it still does.

Herbal, they have pretty much proved that the voting boxes were rigged. Kamala actually won.

Racism and lingering sexism, plus being from California isn't always seen as an asset.
