We saw Jackson Browne in Atlantic City last night. I was initially skeptical, thinking it was another gouge-the-boomers event.
I had only seen him before solo at various benefits or multi-artist shows. I had never seen his with his own band (I was probably one of the only folks in there that recognized Jason Crosby).
He was really good -- he came across as authentic and genuine. He played the hits and some new songs. A little bit of stage patter but nothing too political.
His signature voice sounded great for a 77? year old. He didn't use a teleprompter. (He did trade out guitars even more than Kimock, plus played a little piano.)
Also, the audio mix was excellent. One of the best small arena sound systems that I can remember hearing.
I'd recommend seeing him -- he said he's touring soon -- it didn't feel nostalgic at all.

Some friends and I thought
Some friends and I thought that when the Eagles sang, "he was brutally handsome", they were referring to Jackson Browne, because he was.

Saw him a few times over the years, most notably at Cuthbert Amph. in Eugene about 3 years ago, when he put on one of the best shows I've ever attended. Just exactly perfect in all ways.
The encore was his and the Eagles hit Take It Easy, which appears on Browne's album For Everyman. I figured one and done and started drifting towards the exit.
However...on the album Take It Easy segues into Our Lady of the Well, a lesser known, slower, more nuanced, better? song. And he segued right ino it with a nice long jam. Played most excellently and a perfect capstone to an incredible show.

Judit - the ladies were swooning last night. He is aging well.
SurfD - he did Take it Easy last night for the encore, also. He remarked that he wrote it with Glenn Frey, which I did not know.

Definitely swoon worthy in
Definitely swoon worthy in recent photos and at Sweet Relief honoring Joan Baez in December as seen on videos. The women there were also looking fine.
I think the first time I saw him was in the traveling M.U.S.E. No Nukes show when they came to MacArthur Court at the University of Oregon in the '70s. Fine then, fine now..

Jackson Browne is the man.
Jackson Browne is the man. Great artist, great lyrics, great performances, and politically conscious. What a career and life.
Jackson was working on TIE for a while. Glenn Frey was bugging him to finish it. https://americansongwriter.com/behind-the-song-the-eagles-take-it-easy/
Winslow was added because it's easy to sing, but the "corner" was actually by a Der Wienerschnitzel on Shultz Pass Road in Flagstaff, Arizona. (A story Jackson told at a Flagstaff concert I saw.)
Jackson was at an outdoor show at Park West in Park City, Utah and I asked him if he'd sign my guitar. "A guitar? Sure man," As I brought it to him, one guy asked "Who else is on there?" I said "John Prine for one." Then the guy said "Who's John Prine?" Jackson stopped autographing a ticket, looked up at this guy, and said in this incredulous tone, "You don't know who John Prine is???"
Thanks for the heads up and review, Alan. Hope to catch him if he swings this way.

Saw Jackson Browne play solo
Saw Jackson Browne play solo in Turlock a few years back. Totally awesome and he gave 100%
Saw him with his band at BottleRock in Napa shortly thereafter. Totally awesome and he gave 100% as well
Total professional and incredible musician. Can't imagine him ever 'phoning in' a performance.
If you are on the fence, get off and GO see JB!!
"Because in the end there is one dance you'll do alone"
(this line always just destroys me in both a beautiful and startling way)
ps - keep a fire burning in your eyes....
