We need some Phil talk around here..... (recent Deadcast episodes)

Forums:

Until I listened, I forgot about Phil hosting Rex Radio on Berkeley’s KPFA in late 80s / early 90s. And I learned about the advantages of playing a 6-string bass.

Thanks for these links. I wish I listened to his KPFA show more.

My buddy went to see Graham Nash at the Sweetwater last night and he introduced I Used to Be A King with a comment that Phil played on the album. With that he introduced Graham Lesh on bass. Nice touch.

My parents had a store in San Rafael between 1972 - 1986. I worked there sometimes to help out even though I had moved to Eugene in 1974. I was there one day when Phil came in looking for a gift for someone. He was nice, we talked a bit, and I don't remember what he bought. I was excited to help him and my sister made fun of me because I was excited. Oh well, he was an exciting kind of guy, and I do love a bass player.

Thank you, that was my Phil talk.

yes.yes.yes.

Judit, you need to write a book.

I'd buy it.

Just sayin'.

I'm taking a trip tomorrow, by car that is, and am looking for suggestions for an intense P & F show to ease the pain, something early and weird.

muchos gracias
