Went to see them last night. They are a side project of some of the people who play in the Kronos quartet. They play all contemporary pieces. 

They opened with a piece written by Chick Corea and also played this piece last night. It's about dance written by a composer from Azerbaijan originally for the Kronos quartet but rearranged for Owls who have two cellos.

Yeah it was good stuff. Got dragged their because my wife's nephew is the violinist. I'm not a fan of classical but really love what this configuration is doing. The lesson as always is go to the show.
