Can someone like Fogerty "get away" with dying his hair? If you squint and not look to closely, he kinda does look the "same" ... but at the same time in my mind I know it's not real & perception shifts toward the "weirdness" side of things. At one point, at the 2012 Telluride Bluegrass Festival show it almost looked like he had a face lift ... but he can get really animated on stage ... so maybe that contributed to it.
Having said that, his show TOTALLY rocked!!!
Could easily be one of the most memorable non-GD related shows I've ever seen.

When you're a rock star, you get to dye your hair as much as you want. Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Neil Young, Dolly Parton. Once in the 80s, almost a gazillion years ago, we went to see Neil Young in a small, short-lived Lower Eastside Ballroom, The World. Neil walked in the front door and thru the crowd to get up to the stage. As he walked past me, nose to nose, I could clearly see the hair plugs he was having implanted into his scalp. When you have an image to maintain, your livelihood depends upon that, you do what you need to do. If Jeff Lynne ever changed his ELO/Wilbury's hair style, almost no one would have a clue who he is. Sad when you think about it. Your image is stuck in one place. You're not allowed to age gracefully. The expectation is you're Forever Young.
