I read this article yesterday and it was a worthy one to use up the last of my free NYT articles. She was a funny, strong and powerful being with clear vision. She didn't shy away.

Last time I saw Aline and Sophie was in Terry Zwigoff's documentary "Crumb". Sophie was just a precocious child then with obvious artistic talent. Her mom was an original and leaves a great legacy, including Sophie. R.I.P. Aline.
