Hot on the heels of his annual Renewal Festival at Cotton Meadows in Buena Vista, Colo., Billy Strings has plotted a set of February concert dates that will take the bluegrass musician back to The Centennial State for a three-night run at 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colo., on Feb. 2 through 4.
News of the freshly announced shows landed on Sunday afternoon, following Strings’ Saturday night closing set at Renewal, which included accompaniment by Sarah Jarosz, who performed her own set at the festival before joining Strings on stage for a selection of Bill Monroe covers. Read a recap of the festival here.
Strings Broomfield, Colo. dates serve as the artist’s first of 2023 and come after his highly-anticipated New Year’s Eve two-night stand on Dec. 30 and 31 at New Orleans’ Lakefront Arena.
An artist pre-sale for the three-night 1st Bank Center run is ongoing. Public on-sale is set to commence on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. local time.

It can be mild in Broomy, but vividly recall below zero temps for some Cheese NYE runs.
I haven't seen an indoor show since the Before Times, so William Apostol not in the cards for me; however, it does make me a bit sad to think back on all the various runs I've made it to 1st Bank for ... have probably seen about 30 shows there.

I'll be seeing Billy at the Wiltern in LA on Sunday. This'll be my third indoor show in the last few months, and I've managed to dodge the rona so far.

The 2012 Phil run at 1st Bank
The 2012 Phil run at 1st Bank were a blast. Cold, but only a couple block walk from the Aloft.
Billy this Friday night at The Frost should be quite pleasant. Although its not part of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, there's the chance of some great guests.
