Katy Tur is the MSNBC anchor who likes to weave Phish lyrics into her news broadcasts. She just wrote a memoir and she had an interesting upbringing. Her dad was a journalist who bought a helicopter, and was the guy who buzzed Madonna and Sean Penn's wedding and got the iconic picture of Madonna flipping him off from the cliff where the wedding was being held. He also covered the infamous OJ car chase. Many people feel he played a large part in starting us down the path of news as entertainment. Of course her mother was right there with him but it being the 80's she got no credit for any of her work.
