Man, I have to say, the
Man, I have to say, the opening PITB (not counting the Good Times warmup) was exceptional. The PITB jamming opened up into Miles Davis territory once they got into it with the D minor. John Mayer has clearly been listening to some of the right stuff from late 72, and I can tell you that Billy Strings cannot do what Mayer can do in these electric jams, straight up. That was some pretty dynamite playing, and only the second song into the tour! Oteil was fluid and jazzy as could be, Billy sounded great, Chimenti interacted perfectly with Mayer, and yes they fell back into lethargic tempo land for Stranger, but again that PITB is the stuff we want. It’s in the free Nugs preview that anyone can see. Go and check out that PITB.

I was kinda surprised that there are many people on Dead and Co tour. A few from Salt Lake City, but mostly New Yorkers
And also surprised hearing a couple of teens saying how excited they are to see their 'First Grateful Dead Concert"

I think Bobby's going to pull in Billy Strings next. He did Billy K's birthday shows in Hawaii as well as the Red Rocks shows and he's been popping up with Weir occasionally at Sweetwater.
I'll go out on a limb and predict some Deadheads will love it and some will absolutely despise it and opine for the good 'ol days of Jerry.
