Glad he waited to pass til I got to Arizona 5 years ago to spend his birthday holding his hand in the nursing home. Got about 20 seconds of open eyes in the afternoon and that was it.
Took him to a ballgame in Arizona for his 90th in 2013. On the way out, I asked these women to take a pic with him cause he was such a ham. "He's so cute," they said.
He got in the car and said, "Don't show that to your mother."
