Comet is doing OK - he's very sad.

As are we.

Yeah, Lightning was one of the cats in the drain ditch.

We didn't personally pull him out - couple of cops did that - we just adopted him and his brother Thunder, who died three years ago. They both had a heart condition that causes the heart to thicken and become weaker, and to throw off clots.

Unfortunately this condition is common to some breeds of Coon Cats.

Ahhhhh bummer, I just clicked on this thread.

So sorry to hear this Surfdead. That's real sad. Condolences. 

(We have an 18 year old kitty who's still hanging in there thanks to Gabbapenton and Miralax and I dread the day she's gone.)
