Finally got tix for this sold out show at the Wonder Ballroom. Saw them right before the pandemic and they were good, but didn't blow me away. Since then, I have seen broadcasts of their shows and they seem to be getting better, so will give them another shot tonight. Should be a big hippie dance party if anything else.

I've seen them twice and it was a good time each time. They remind me a little of Phish. Enjoy the show!

Watch out for those one word
Watch out for those one word jambands - Phish, Lettuce, Goose
My 25 yr old daughter loves Goose. More jam sandwiches, what's not to like.
Like my dear old uncle used to say, ' if you didn't have fun it was your own damn fault'.

A lot of noise about Goose
A lot of noise about Goose this week with their west coast run. Listened to parts of the LA show on archive the other night and it seemed a bit frantic. They seem to not get the value of nuance. For example, I really like JRAD but the last time I saw them pre-pandemic it just felt like they were constantly playing at top speed. It's great for a while but at some point, you know... it's about the space between the notes? The Goose jams I heard were continually in fifth gear which is great if you're into that. Oh, and they sound like a cheap Phish ripoff IMO. Guitarist wants to be Trey and the drummer is all about the Fishman hooks. YMMV.

Just noticed there is a band called Geese opening for Spoon at the Filmore in may. I'd like to see the Goose Geese pairing.

They opened for Goose the last time I saw them in early 2020. No opener last night. Still wasn't blown away by them. Not bad, but not amazing. The young people certainly liked them and the place was packed. PPP is way better and more fun IMHO.
