thanks

just tried and they won't accept my po box because it's used for business purposes :-(

Thank you. Done.

What's the point in testing?  If your sick stay home.

Thank you, too. Done.

(Racket was apparently staying home sick from school when the teacher explained the difference between your and you're.)

<< What's the point

To know if you should lay low or not. You may not want to go visit your favorite grandparent if you know you're infected.

You might be asymptomatic.

What's the point in testing? <<<

A) So you can get of work

B) Create sympathy for yourself on social media

C) Can claim to be a COVID survivor

Oh and thanks fabes, got em

Just ordered some.  Will need to test again after the two shows I am going to later this week.   Don't think they will arrive by then, but I think we still have a couple more test kits rolling around and will need to stock up again.

Racket, many people are asymptomatic and go about their lives in contact with others. If I get sick from one of them and test positive using one of these tests, I want to let them know - tracing - so they can let others know. As an aware person who will probably get quite ill from any variant, I want to do my part in making sure others don't pass it along to their friends and family.

Supposedly shipping at the end of the month, Ken.

communicable disease, how does it work?

>A) So you can get of work

Look at how well that worked out for Jokovic

Nobody should be testing without symptoms.  That's ridiculous.

So your co-worker has Covid and you're about to visit Grandma at the nursing home. You won't take a test first, Racket?

Sorry, Grammy.

But, y'know, freedom.

If I was exposed, I would wait a week to see if symptoms appear before going to see GMA.   No need for a test with no symptoms.  Again ridiculous.

And what if you didn't know if you had been exposed?

Maybe you don't understand that you can be an asymptotic carrier. Or maybe you just don't care?

40% asymptomatic.   So you can still pass it to granny without symptoms.

And as noted before Xmas, we're back to over 2000 people dying a day now from this shit (more than 3000 a few days ago).   More people have died from this than in the civil war.

Nobody should be testing without symptoms.  That's ridiculous.

^^ NOPE^^

first - double vaxxed and boosted

second : my gig has me on planes and traveling and in studios or ballrooms, sometimes with hundreds of people, many unmasked...i have been in 5 such situations since thanksgiving weekend, well over a dozen between late August and Halloween

My wife works in the dental field, we try and test once a week just so we can go about our lives with good conscience of not being spreaders out there.

i am going to fly to FLA this weekend and will test upon arrival and before departure at weeks end and again two days after that...its just common sense and good karma to be as vigilant as possible...

i can bill the clients when i can find the tests and other times they supply them and offer them for us to take home for post gig testing

stay healthy folks

Pholks, the troll is either too stupid or too stubborn. Why do you all waste your time? He ain't getting it.

Mark from downtown. Don't waste your time.

Our governor's recommendation last week was if you're feeling ill, quarantine for 5 days and don't bother getting tested. Those pesky numbers, you know? Makes it look like the state is losing the battle with their inaction.

Speaking of action, six hours into the session, and the legislature is on it's second reading of a resolution prohibiting mayors from imposing mask mandates. Didn't take long. County Council can now go back and block the mandate left in place last week and say we're just adhering to state law.

Neighbors next door and neighbors across the street - all triple vaxxed and just getting out of quarantine after testing positive. One is a nurse at a children's hospital. I'm sure she wasn't needed last week.

We visited the grandparents recently. They gave some of us Covid.

Racket, 42 Californians die every day.

Better stay inside slacker.

It's heart warming that so many of you are still in "2 weeks to slow the spread" mode.

There are sound rationales to get a COVID test. Logical people know what those are.

Then there are the myriad of other reasons why people are taking COVID tests, propelled by fear propaganda and a weak minded populace. Boomers rejoice!

As always there is plenty of grey area.

Racket, did you understand what I wrote? I think you're smart but attempting to obfuscate or irritate.

Blink once if you get the wisdom of tracing and informing contacts of possible exposure (asymptomatic or not).

Blink twice if you're unclear about it.

Blink 3 times if you're simply trolling.

Since we can't see you, please advise.

Judit.  How do you know you've caught covid from an asymptomatic person?  Lol, are you for real?

Racket. When they take responsibility and let you know. Wouldn't you tell people with whom you've been in contact?

How would they know they were infected, if they were asymptomatic?

"You ain't gonna learn what you don't want to know"

Testing is part of protecting people around you. It can assure you that you are no longer contagious after being sick. I used to work with children who were immunocompromised. Testing before returning to work after Covid would be the right thing to do.

>>> How would they know they were infected, if they were asymptomatic? <<<

Their neighbor/friend/family member/coworker lets them know they've been exposed. After being told, they test, even if they're not feeling sick. They test because they don't want to transmit to others.

The CDC says 5 days and you're good to go, no test needed, if symptoms have cleared.

If you were speaking to my last post, it missed. Please read mine again.

Racket, if you aren't going to be around any vulnerable people it's probably not going to matter. But don't you want to muck up the free test kits rollout to say look at how inefficient it might be?  Crash the system and tell everyone Biden sucks.

Racket-logic?

Nothing is free slacker.

That's why you're supposed to sell them after you get them.

I understand the point you are trying to make but beware of absolutes

That's the capitalistic spirit!

D)  If for whatever reason a person has chosen to not be vaccinated, they need a negative test to get into most any public event.

Often at home tests don't count for those circumstances

The basis of what Racket is saying is exactly what the CDC has recommended.

I'm up in the air on all of this. As omricon is so contagious and probably way more widespread than we even know,  an we even do reliable contact tracing? Even if we can, does it even matter?

My daughter is in grad school in England. They hand out tests there like candy. From what she says, people take them all the time. Their omricon rates are through the roof, just like ours.

Today I saw an estimate that 1/5 Americans has had Rona. I also tend to lean towards the school of thought that says that most of us are going to come across it sooner than later. I may have already had it and didn't even know.

>>>Often at home tests don't count for those circumstances<<<

Which raises the question, just how accurate are these rapid at-home tests?

I'm all for testing, knowledge is power, but incorrect knowledge is incredibly destructive.

Not so much that they are inaccurate, they aren't allowed because they are easy to manipulate a negative result. They are accurate if administered  properly

Will I be banned for trolling racket?

I won't be sending admin an emails.  Bring it sweetie.

Listen, sweeties... I'm sure you're not surprised that I read what y'all write.

Take a look at the rules and also what we ask everyone to read before posting if you have any questions.

Love, admin

I just got mine yesterday.
