Billy K not playing in January

Hope Bill makes a speedy recovery.  Drumming is pretty physical work.   Is Jay Lane sitting in again?

Obviously his health is the priority.  However, at what point do you call it quits.  Sit back and spend time with your loved ones and bask in all you have done?  To my ears the music is not there, even if you include Mayer’s recent tribute to Berry White.

I kinda expected this. I hope all is kosher and not that serious. But since Red Rocks and know with the news it doesn't seem. Wishes for yhe best.

I don't know and have no special insight but if you parse what Billy says about his heart "coming up with its own idea about rhythm" one could think he might have Atrial Fibrillation or some type of heart arrhythmia issue.  If it is Afib, it kind of matches what he said he was complaining about at Red Rocks and in LA when he backed out and Jay stepped in.  Tiredness, lightheadedness, shortness of breath are among Afib type symptoms and altitude like that at Red Rocks can exacerbate the issue.  Of course, I don't fuckin know so no rumors here--just trying to parse his words in his post.  Afib can be serious if not treated--its common, especially at his age, but does increase stroke and blood clot risk among other more chronic and debilitative issues. Sometimes medication can control it, other times, more invasive procedures are needed. Whatever his issues are, lets hope they are manageable and he can be well.  Take care, Capitan K, be well.
