So far, so good here.  Total of eight were at my sister's, including two from FL/three who'd passed through airports.  

Fingers crossed that my kid's flight on Friday doesn't get scrubbed (WE'D be OK with it, having not seen him for two years, but he's got a life).

His GF's flights into/out of Hong Kong next week were canceled (all Jan flights through that airport on that carrier bagged).  He managed to get her a direct flight from Thailand to CA.

My gig canceled 1/10 Back to Office plans (which might not have applied to me and I'd be fine with).  

Hope you're able to ring in '22 feeling good again, String.

Everyone will get it, it's inevitable.   99.9% will be fine, and those are great odds.  Enjoy the Netflix string man.

This is exhausting. Dark Star just postponed their NYE run here on east coast which makes me happy and sad at the same time. But relieved that the decision is out of my hands. Like El Nino, I know more getting it then at any other time, and by a wide margin. We will survive - just do the right thing along the way. Feel better Highnote!

Someone compared vaccination to kevlar vests. Wearing a kevlar vest won't keep you from getting shot, but greatly improves your chance of survival if you do get hit with a bullet. Ideally not getting covid at all would be great but I'd rather deal with the sniffles than a ventilator.

Oops, Dise, No, I definitely do not have COVID and consider myself lucky given all of my shows in October.... I should have edited that sentence!

Just got my booster on Dec. 13, too.... and not holding any show tix, as much as I am craving some live music... hopefully February.

Whew! Glad to hear it! I don't have any live music plans until March. I'm hoping by then the holiday spike I expect to see in the next month will have worked itself out. 

Hope you make a speedy recovery.  Imagine how much more it would suck if your weren't vaccinated.

And they say if your are vaxed and still catch the Covid, you should have super immunity here on out

Just had a vaxxed friend who got it. 2-3 days of feeling like crap, then got better from day three on and isolated 10 days. Good luck all. Get well soon.

Damn, so many friends and family are either sick with Covid (testing positive) or in quarantine after being exposed and waiting for test results. Seems to be a huge range in severity of symptoms, no rhyme or reason either, doesn't seem to matter much if they're fully vaxxed, or missing the booster. 

I know a couple of 4 year olds  who were very sick for over a week, high fevers. Really worry about the little ones who aren't old enough to be vaccinated. Not much sympathy for the dummies who haven't gotten vaccinated. 

Family on the East Coast gathered for an xmas dinner. So happy my Mom decided to stay home. It's turning into a super spreader event. Most concerned for the unvaccinated 2 year old. He hasn't show any symptoms yet..

Children aren't dying.  Relax.

wear a mask! Simple! I wear one every place I go. The places I go the employees don't wear them anymore.

Racket, whenever a child is sick for a week with high fever or needs to be hospitalized because they are sick with a contagious virus and having life threatening issues, it's worrisome. When hospitals are filling with very ill young children who are having difficulty breathing in middle of a pandemic, most people are concerned.

Well my friends eight year old spent three days in the ICU back before we had vaccines with brain swelling from Covid. Fun times for her and her parents. That stat doesn't show up in death numbers.

Two of my kids have the Rona. Both are vaxxed and boosted. Mild symptoms like headache, sore throat, and kind of tired. That sounds like me on a good day!

543k cases reported today.

Locally per county health official those hospitalized are overwhelmingly non-vaxxed.

Some breakthrough infections but milder, over sooner, and not hospitalized.

Fully vaxxed, I still mask when I go out, no crowds.

At this point we look out for ourselves.

Please tell that to the parents of the 655 kids dead from Covid in the US.   You are right, as a percentage, it doesn't even show up (especially in the California where there are only 32).  There would be nothing worse in my life than to bury my child.  Nothing.
