OCT 11 @CAP > Pre-func info & request for headcount for reservation

Big thanks to Klowan for helping me narrow down locations for an Oct. 11 Q Pre-Func in Port Chester and for handling communications to the FB Zoner group.
CAP doors open at 6:30pm, FYI.
We have a reservation for 20 seats from 4PM to 6PM at McShanes Pub on Monday, October 11 in downtown Port Chester, about 10 minutes walk to the CAP.
If the weather is nice, they will give us outdoor picnic tables.

I actually inquired about having "Welcome Zoners" put up on the marquee... but it's not happening, sigh.

Charging big money for personal notices on marquees or scoreboards is normal operating procedure for most any professional venue or promoter, and has been for decades.

BTW if you've never driven south to Shasta on the east side of the Cascades on Hwy 97, try it some day and time it to arrive at Weed at sunset... as you drive through the crater on the NE side with all the cinder cones it appears as a 360 degree sunset!

Hello sweet peeps!
Hello sweet peeps!
I am so sorry I missed your shin dig Llollo. Sounds like as usual the cast of phreaks made good use of spreading the Zoner love!! Started my drive from Florida at 1am on Sunday, had to drop off mom and a uhaul in SW Virginia, slept a few hours and then headed up to Port Chester. Made it to the Air Bnb at 5:30pm. Quick shower and off to the Cap. Whew! 9 states in 36 hours. I'm spent.
Slept til noon today, had lattes and a NY bagel in the backyard sunshine, did laundry, dreamed of taking a nap and will be heading to Salt Air for happy hour oysters and wine around 5. Just typing that made me exhausted again.
This was my first post Covid event and I was really freaked out when the Cap staff didn't check my vaccination card and only1% of the crowd was masked. Hid upstairs by the bar and watched the monitors with a comfy bench to relax. Made me feel a little better.
Maybe tonight I will gather my strength to hit the floor, probably in the back. I'm spending a lot of time with the parents lately taking care of family issues. Don't want to be the kid to bring home the Covid.

Feel free to come on down for some oysters and a hug! The owner is fabulous and they have probably a dozen different types. He loves his oysters so much he knows the person that harvested them and the tide at which they were picked. It's an amazing place!!
