We're expecting wide spread
We're expecting wide spread lava flows from the heat this weekend in the flamey Pacific Northwest...
Expecting to set some record high temps, record high low temps, and likely warmest day in June on record records.
I'm am stocked on ice cream, sandwich meats, and will make potato / pasta salads tonight, mainly to bathe in if we get as hot as some models state... (long live the power)
Ah, now for some forecasts
Looking like it'll still be in the 80's at midnight, and while that might be a blast in many parts of the country, we don't do that here in the PNW, at least not on the west side. This should accelerate fire danger thru the roof (BTW, we lost that roof during last years fires). The wild card is the low that keeps reforming off the Cali coast, some models show it moving north early next week, could have lightning... not a good set up for 4th of July Fireworks
(it's ok to leave water out for wildlife)

...when the news broke about the cancellation, a girlfriend sent me video of--in true Portland style--an impromptu Protest Naked Bike Ride that happened in her neighborhood late yesterday.... if only the Zone could support video, I got some hilarious footage.
