I heading out to see a former bandmate(s?) new group in just a bit...  outdoor gig at Common Fields (Corvallis), should be fun!  It's an early gig, so hoping to be back for Bobby at 7pm, might be a little late...

This sounds horrible to my ears

Had a good set of live music, use to play with the bass player (Dr. Dave, a surgeon I use to work with during my hospital days)

Psyched! Sitting 8th row by the SBD! Gonna be a good one!

Damn Woz, way to go!!!

Good show.

When we had the "What was the most iconic venue the Grateful Dead played", I asked Weir to opine.

He said, "Gotta be Red Rocks."

When I made the argument for Winterland he changed the subject.

Hahahaha

Absolution stunning show tonight!

So with the wind and string instruments, were they able to do the full Terrapin Suite like on the studio album?

^

They did half on Tues, and half on Weds...   i'm going to have to relisten to the 2nd half from last night, a lot going on, and I missed a bunch of it, came back for days between (but what I heard was great)

Report on CNN.  https://www.cnn.com/2021/06/10/health/covid-indoor-concerts-wellness/ind...

Wish they hadn't cut off the part where anchor John Berman jumps in with "Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile" and discusses friends going to various venues across the country.

Just listened again to a bit as people really seemed to have liked this.  Music Never Stopped and Easy Answers.  Pedal steal and piano mostly sound good.  I have always enjoyed Weirs playing, but to me his tone is hard to take.  Vocals are too broken and gravely.  People look like they are having a good time, but perhaps talking more than listening.  Honestly it all reminds me of a flower that had long past its peek bloom.  Thoughts?
